More success for WT-followers in Luta Livre

Hans Hutton, No. 1 in the European ranking in Luta Livre, does WingTsun with Sifu Peter Grusdat in Munich and was once again able to use the WT principles successfully in Lock and Choke 3.

During the 3rd Lock and Choke Event held at the Sports College in Cologne, with more than 80 male and female contestants from Germany, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland and US forces personnel stationed in Spain, Luta Livre instructor Hans Hutton and the ”Bavarian Top Team” founded by himself and Sifu Grusdat (a team of martial artists – mainly WT followers – who are enthusiastic about competitions) was once again highly successful.

Hans Hutton was able to take 2nd place in his weight class and 1st place in the open class (no weight limit) once again. Our team also managed to achieve three 2nd places and one 3rd place, making us the most successful team at the event.

Sifu Grusdat was also back in action after a one-year break due to injury. Unfortunately he was unable to gain a place this time, as his very first bout was against the reigning champion in Luta Livre, who was deservedly superior on the ground.

The two opponents only went to the ground after several minutes, however, during which an increasingly frustrated Christoph Schadek vainly attempted to achieve a takedown. Only when instructed by his fiend and instructor (Hans: ”Stop messing around with that Chi-Sao, or we’ll be here all day”) did Grusdat go to the ground, where Schadek was finally able to apply an armlock. Once again, Hans Hutton is convinced that his WT training with Sifu Peter Grusdat was decisive for his victories in Lock and
Choke 3.
