Maximum Know-how!

The grandiose 40th anniversary seminar last year was an event with many superlatives. The huge number of participants broke every previous record. One spectacular highlight was followed by the next. Whether the extensive range of seminars with numerous visiting instructors or the accompanying events, all those who were there agree that it might only be topped by the 50th anniversary celebrations!
But even though there is no anniversary to celebrate this year, the 2017 International Seminar is set to become a very special event as well!

BECAUSE: for the first time in the history of the International Seminar, every EWTO grandmaster will offer a tailor-made teaching curriculum in his specialist area. Every class will follow its own focus topic. AND: every seminar participant will be able to choose the grandmaster or master and class he/she wishes to attend.
This means that all are able to put together their own, personal seminar contents – the choice only being limited by room capacities – and take home the maximum know-how they find specially important.
Naturally Escrima, WT stress training and ChiKung will once again be included in the wide range of classes.

Inner WingTsun

In his classes, Grandmaster Keith R. Kernspecht will especially devote himself to master grades and candidates for them. Inner WingTsun is the (examination) programme for master grades, i.e. 4th HG and above. Higher Grades from 2nd HG can also take part, however. Naturally Grandmaster Kernspecht will also share his latest research findings with 1st HG and student grades, and has specially reserved one class per day for this.

BlitzDefence/BlitzFight

Grandmasters Oliver König and Thomas Schrön will together teach aspects from the new BlitzFight section and the modern WingTsun teaching programmes in BlitzDefence. A grappling class, a "stand-up" class and a self-defence class are planned for each day, so expect plenty of action! Those wishing to take part can therefore take instruction from GM König/Schrön up to three times per day. Please don't forget to bring mitts and groin protection! All those who have already attended a BlitzFight seminar and wish to complete their assistant instructor qualification will have the opportunity to improve both their technical knowledge and skills. All those who want to access this division for the future or just want to try it out are also welcome!

Escrima

In three classes each day, Grandmaster Bill Newman and his team will teach defences against the most common weapon attacks – knife or other bladed weapon, stick, baseball bat etc. – as the main focus. They will particularly show the application of Escrima techniques when using day-to-day items such as keys, a walking stick, umbrella, etc.

WT-Stresstraining

How to maintain one's physical and mental balance under extreme circumstances is the specialist area of DaiSifu Jürgen Kestner and Sifu Dr Hubert Beitler. In both theory and plenty of practice, the two specialists will pass on valuable knowledge that can decisively affect the outcome of a self-defence situation. Dr Beitler is outstandingly able to present this topic area at a scientific but easily understandable level, while DaiSifu Kestner will get the sweat flowing with a wide variety of exercises to show how WT people can use their skills to best effect in such situations. Anybody who has taken part in the past will know that for all the physical effort, there is also plenty of fun to be had.

ChiKung

During this year's seminar programme, the ChiKung team will place a special emphasis on training the centre of the body as the centrepoint of power and the stabiliser of the body's movement system. We are only able to remain in balance if this dynamic stability has been achieved.

Masters Constantin Mock, Regula Schembri and Petra Weipert will show how to activate the power of the centre and achieve balance and flexibility throughout the body.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the innovative programme for this year's International Seminar. Naturally well-established events will also be part of this once more: our grand evening event will again ensure plenty of opportunity for celebrating together!!

You can register for your Maximum Know-how here.

Best wishes until we meet at the International Seminar in Hockenheim.
