All good things come in threes

In my New Year's greeting I have already provided an outlook on the direction my personal plans for the coming year will take.
The freedom I have to devote myself so intensively to the further development of our WingTsun is due entirely to the support I receive from a superb team: Grandmaster Giuseppe Schembri – 9th degree, Grandmaster Oliver König – 9th degree, DaiSifu Thomas Schrön – 8th degree and DaiSifu Andreas Groß – 7th degree.

Yes, you read it correctly! There are now three WingTsun grandmasters.
I take very great pleasure in announcing in this editorial that I have completely inducted
Dr. Oliver König into the 9th Master's programme, and that with immediate effect he bears the title of "Grandmaster".
I am also extremely pleased that many of my longstanding students, who have themselves been masters of WingTsun for many years, and in some cases have taught generations of their own students over several decades, have continued to be my constant companions on our journey of discovery. This means that in 2015 further masters who are up-to-date will undoubtedly move up to the 8th Master's level.

In the past I have authored and published a new book almost every year. In 2014 there were no less than three (!), with two German variants of the "Coursebook" and an English edition. More than ever before. I intend to devote 2015 fully to practical instruction and research, therefore it is likely that no new Wing Tsun book will appear this year.
But those who know me also know that next to WingTsun, books are my second great passion. At present we are working on the Biography of Budo legend Kaicho Jon Bluming, which we expect will be published around mid-year in English language.
I am also planning a book on the subject of the energies and forces that are typically taught in inner styles. This will explain both how to develop them and how they can be used in combat.

I look forward to an exciting and interesting new WingTsun year, full of fascinating discoveries, fun and the pleasure we take from our shared passion.
